Dr. Ramanandan successfully trod the path that was set by his father, Dr. E. K. Vidyanandan, who had formal Ayurveda Education in the traditional gurukula pattern, from Ayurveda College, Coimbatore. After that he spent the next 28 years uncompromisingly carrying the great tradition forward, understanding and accepting the needs of changing times. He has also recieved his MBA (Hospital Administration) from TNOU, Chennai. Dr. Ramanandan is also associated with different activities for the promotion of ayurveda and other social services. He was the Zonal President of Ayurveda Medical Association of India, and State Executive Committee Member. He was also the president of Lions club of Mannarkkad, Lionestic year 2009-10,
Being the chief physician of Thulasi Ayurveda Chikitsalayam, the home-hospital for personal care, he practically proved his ability for healing.
Being the grandson of Sri Narayanan Vaidyar, he belongs to the traditional Vaidya family called the ‘Erattapalliyalil’ and also to the ‘Thalappully’ Vaidya family through his maternal heritage being the grandson of Thalappully Ramankutty Vaidyar. He inherits the dual strength of tradition.
After his studies he practiced under Sri. C. Narayanan Vaidyar and his uncle, Dr. Krishna Mohan in Kerala.
With his appropriate usage of the knowledge and application of different approach, Dr. Ramanandan developed his clinic into a pediatric clinic. He is known for the special combinations he developed for children.
He is also experienced in managing Neurological Problems, Lifestyle Disorders, Diabetes, Gynecological problems, Fertility Disorders, Mental Disorders, Arthritis, Gastrointestinal Problems, Spinal disorders, Sinusitis, Migraine & Skin Diseases like Psoriasis.
