The traditional Vaidya from the famous Erattappalliyalil Vaidya family. With the theoretical and practical skills he acquired, supported by the blessings of his masters, he got established as the physician of the village in a very short time.
Sri. Dr.E.K .Vidyanandan
Late. Aryavaidyan Dr. Vidyanandan Erattappalliyalil, Retired senior specialist, Government Institute for Mental diseases, Kottakkal, Kerala. Sri. Dr.E.K .Vidyanandan, son of Sri Narayanan Vaidyar, had formal Ayurveda education from the prestigious Vaidyaratnam P.S.Varier Ayurveda College Kottakkal in the year 1951 and had a successful career in Government service for 30 years as Senior Specialist in the Ayurvedic Hospital, Kottakal. He balanced the best of both the tradition and formal curriculum.
Dr. Vidyananadan was a renowned physician of Alanallur and surrounding villages and has been serving for more than 50 years.
